New Horizon 5 was pleased to be one of several exhibitors at the Huntsville Mt. Gap Middle School STEAM night. Attendees explored hands-on science work by more than twenty-five industry partners.

Matt Tito demonstrated our Raspberry PI Robot with active participation from students.

Rich Tito, New Horizon 5 IT Specialist, was also present. Rich and Matt are father and son members of the New Horizon 5 team.

The exhibit also included a Space Shuttle tile demonstration. The tile was heated until it glowed red hot, then allowed to cool for 10-30 seconds. We discussed heat transfer properties of the tile as a thermal protection system.

Students were asked to guess the weight of the tile with a prize for the best guesser.
